About Me

ABOUT ME

I love playing guitar, reading, running, painting, and writing. I can't wait to get out and see the world. I intend to move to Amsterdam once I am capable of supporting myself out there.

Music, Movies, and Books

My all time favorite books are Brave New World, 1984, The Stranger, Into Thin Air and Into the Wild. I can't say that I have found many movies that really caught my eye more than Eraserhead or Requiem for a Dream.

Music, wow. I could go on forever about what kind of music I love.
I really dig A Silver Mt. Zion right now, they have a great philosophy and I think that their music is incredible.
I love any kind of music that comes from a genuinely creative place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent two months straight camping in Utah, that was definitely the most amazing thing I have done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, there is one thing that I can say has really affected me the most.

"What he (the Buddha) actually said is that life is blissful, there is joy everywhere. Only we're closed off to it. His teachings were actually about opening up the joyful or blissful nature of reality. But the bliss and the joy is in the transitoriness [sic]. Do you see this glass? I love this glass. It holds the water admirably. When I tap it it has a lovely ring, when the sun shines on it it reflects the light beautifully. But when the wind blows and the glass falls off the shelf and breaks or my elbow hits and it falls to the ground I say of course. But when I know that the glass is already broken every minute with it is precious."

One of the most important things is life is to be capable of looking at every situation as a learning experience.
