About Me

I recently moved to Sunnyvale. I've been at Walt's since late June. Before that I was lead Server/Bartender at Tac-oh since they opened, December 2016. Friends and coworkers often tell me that I have an infectious enthusiasm. In my down time I enjoy movies and shows and reading (especially Philosophy). I'm a sucker for comedy. I was initially disappointed when John Stewart left the Daily Show but I freakin' love Trevor Noah, his impersonations are great. Another DS alum, John Oliver Kills me on Last Week Tonight and Jay Pharoah on SNL is Spot On! I Love to laugh, ride my bike , workout and love love love to cook. My Passions are dancing and DJing. My Dream is to teach hip hop dance to kids.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My current living situation is disconcerting. I moved in w/an ex-coworker's friend not knowing she drinks heavily daily. When she's drunk she's manageable and often blacks out, any time when she's not that faded she's a raging c u next tuesday. I come home daily not knowing how she'll be or what she may do, it's quite daunting.

I'm the middle child in my family. I think that's why I'm diplomatic and pragmatic (also used to sharing/compromising, I didn't have my own room til I was 19, hahaha). This being said. I find myself at a loss in coping with the energy here (this house Is Not a Home!). I literally stay in my room most of the time like a mouse in the wall. Not a Fan!

I find that a very important part of my personality has atrophied since moving in (It's only been since June 3rd!). I'm sure this will continue to occur exponentially if I stay. I've been having incredible anxiety so I made a conscious decision to move w/out securing a new place to live yet. I have faith I will find a Home where I complement my mates. My favorite words are Serendipity, Reciprocity and Symbiosis. Values to Live By. I mostly just need a couch, cot, mat, space to chill, sleep and shower in the interim. I'm out by 9, 5 mornings a week and I don't finish work til 6:30. I spend a lot time at the library on my days off...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I first moved to LA years ago. I rescued my neighbor from a fire her son inadvertently started in their kitchen. She was in her 70s and he was smoking crack in the bathroom. I pulled her out onto the porch then put out the fire. I was back in my apartment before any of the other neighbors responded.

Recently, my boss came up to me when I was Bartending. She looked like she was choking but wasn't doing the choking thing. I wasn't sure but I spun her 180* and started the Heimlich. After the 7th attempt w/little success she fell on her knees so i firmly 'high fived' her 'tween the shoulder blades, the smallest piece of french fry launched out of her mouth and she made the craziest wheezing inhale. It was F@cking Scary!!! I thought she wasn't going to cough it out. I'm so happy I was there! I got to see the video later, It Was a Trip....

Teach, Learn, Share

I was fluent in Spanish at the age of 3 and a half but I've forgotten more than I remember. I still speak it as often as possible, especially at work. I'm also great with kids. I used to volunteer at my daughter's school when she was little. I can teach anybody how to dance. A past roommate is 6'8" 265 and i taught his Giant A$$ how to Boogie...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an Amazing cook and I especially enjoy nourishing others. I'd be happy to make my best dishes. I'm also happy to wash dishes. I'm also great at laundry, my folding skills are impeccable from so many years in Clothing retail (I'm great at coordinating outfits too!). I'm also pretty handy with tools...
