Been on Working Holiday Visa in New Zealand since October 2022, soon travelling to Australia, Philippines, and Japan before going back to the USA.

As a guest, you can expect me to be easy-going, tidy, and respectful. I'm big on trying to be self-aware and open-minded. I recently finished my PhD in Planetary Science back in the USA and have been taking a break to hike and travel before going back to work, though I've been doing a bit of bartending and kitchen work while staying in Auckland.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to make intense itineraries and plan to see way too many sights while traveling. While I'm still ambitious to explore the world, I see Couchsurfing as a great opportunity to get more immersed in a place and appreciate it like a local. These days, my mantra is that there are so many great things to see and do, I can't go wrong! Each trip serves as inspiration for the next one!
