About Me
MY CURRENT MISSION:
Hello couchsurfers of New York!! I’m on a mission and I’m looking to connect with y’all.
From the 9th to the 14th of November I’ll be experiencing something completely new to me- leaving Canada. This will be my first time exciting the country and I’m pumped. One simple reason pushed me over the edge to visit your city- to buy a steal stringed acoustic guitar.
For the longest time I’ve wanted to visit New York but never had a strong enough reason. Then one day while discussing my upcoming plans to Montreal with a close friend they pitched me a great idea... “Yo dude! You should go down to New York to buy a guitar!”. I was instantly sold. So now I’m gearing up. It’s time.
A big part of this journey will be connecting with new people along the way. I really hope to meet people from the couchsurfing community who can share a local perspective of the city. In return I’d love to offer a glimpse in to the world of Canada, share conversations, cook meals together, and everything else in between :)
ABOUT ME:
Consider me a sponge. I'm soaking up everything around me.
The idea of seeking discomfort is something I believe in. Wherever I am, traveling or not, I try to open my heart and my eyes to the beautiful strangers around me. Some of my strongest friendships and best memories have come from putting myself in unordinary/ traditionally uncomfortable situations!
I dig love. I believe love is the root of many things. I try my very hardest to cultivate unconditional love for myself and others.
In my day to day life I work at Mr. Mattress, Vancouver's oldest mattress store, where I deliver two sided, locally made, high quality mattresses with a smile. Naturally, I also live in Vancouver. During the spring/ summer seasons I am tree planter in Northern B.C. When I’m not working I spend my time living actively, enjoying the arts, and spending time with others. An ideal day consists of delivering mattresses, biking to meet a friend, sharing dinner, then heading to a show! I’ve recently began bouldering as well which I’m really enjoying.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a platform that brings people together. It's a place where people who wouldn't normally meet can cross paths and form connections. I'm here to learn and teach. I'm here to cultivate community, human connection, and love!

Music, Movies, and Books
This is a tricky one. There are so many.
Music: my favorites include Jon and Roy, The Beatles, Nicole Reynolds, Bob Dylan, The Brian Jonestown Massacre. There's so many more! I absolutely love music.
Movies: The Lord of the Rings trilogy (extended cuts) are my all time favorites.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Cold War, and and Becoming Nobody are some of my other favorites.
Books: The Alchemist
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't pin point one exact moment that is my ultimate favorite so I'll list two things I consider amazing:
completing my first tree planting season, and helping facilitate bike raves in Vancouver that facilitate human connection, natural euphoria, and sober partying.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to plant a tree, lift a mattress, some chords on a guitar, and maybe a bit of bouldering. I've got more to teach I promise ;)
I'm completely open to learning anything you feel passionate about teaching.
Let's share a good laugh, a healthy meal, and some fun traveling stories. Maybe a beer or two or a favorite album. Let's share whatever we're called to!
