About Me

I think I've really beat the odds by getting to be the person I am today, considering the places that I've come from. I'll tell you all about it soon!

I'm currently traveling Europe alone for a month as a "congratulations" to myself for quitting my last job to chase my dreams to become a professional pilot!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was recommend to check out the site by a friend while I was traveling around the US and I was beyond blown away by the kindness and generosity of my first host. I honestly couldn't get my head around the idea that a community like this could exist. I've got my own home now, so I'm always very happy "pay it forward" by having guest over whenever I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a longtime musician, so I enjoy virtually all music that's well made which can be anything from old time Jazz and Swing to Metal, Country, Happy Hardcore/UK Hard, Psytrance, Classic Rock, and anything in-between.

Movies: Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, and Wes Anderson Films are all great.
Shows: It's Always Sunny, Danger 5, and The League are go to Netflix shows.

Books: On The Road - Jack Kerouac

The Proud Highway - Hunter S. Thompson

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived out of my car for a month as I drove around the US in a blaze of wild wonder of having my eyes opened to the thrill of traveling. Pretty sure I gave Jack Keroac a run for his money with my experience on the road. I'd be more than happy to tell you all about it.

*wink wink*

Teach, Learn, Share

Does hanging out at pub in Kyoto and conducting a crude English/Japanese language exchange lesson with the aid of gestures and drawings count as teaching?
