World cinema, but Bergman and Buñuel remain favourites.

Varied tastes in music, but not classical or opera or mainstream pop, and good lyrics help a lot: Jacques Brel, Renaud, Joy Division, The Smiths, Babyshambles, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I suppose Haiti is the most amazing place I've ever been to, but coming back to the real world, the American South has to take it, as (with perhaps the only exception of Atlanta), it's a world apart from the places people so often visit in the States - Manhattan, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, etc.

Literature is my main passion, particularly English and French, and I have a pretty extensive knowledge of English, American (mainly the American South), and French fiction.
