About Me
Just a normal guy trying to see the extraordinary among the mundane, and create meaning out of the grind of life :). Going to new places is a fun way to that end.
I used to be the kind of traveler that chases after a goal, a number. A "country counter" if you will, and a modest one at that. Being on the road often for the past few years has made me realize that what matters the most aren't the numbers, but the experiences. The moments we will look back to in years to come, the people we share them with, and the emotions that can hardly be photographed or expressed in words.
Oh and the food ;) duh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Grand sights and cool photos are awesome, but I truly believe it's the people that make the experience. These days for me CS is not so much about traveling cheaply. It's about experiencing new cultures in authentic ways and meeting cool folks I'd otherwise not run into. The surprises may be good or bad, uncomfortable or exhilarating, but the one guarantee is that they will not be mundane.

Travel stories and good vibes. Light-hearted and deep conversations. I’m down for (almost) anything fun that you want to do together.
I believe in giving back. If you've hosted me I'll be more than happy to treat you to a meal or a drink, and I’ll try to host you when you come to my city - unless you turn out to be a serial killer, in which case we can discuss some other arrangements :).
