ABOUT ME

Let's give it a try...

Professionally I'm a visual artist and sculptor; I work with video, sound and installation.
My story begins in Poland when the communism era is about to collapse. My parents, after having been trapped in the Eastern block, are curious to see 'the world' - this way as a giggly one year old I am also given a passport.
I was brought up exposed to cultural diversity and have been quite restless recently, living in a few homes across Europe.

I have been lucky to have met many inspiring people and live in places I loved. And now what really makes my heart beat is when I get up having no clue what the day is going to be like.
I love spending time with people, cooking together or going on a quirky adventure. On the contrary, I can be a bit solitary in this whole sociable attitude, and appreciate time I spend by myself. I am friendly but sometimes not very loud at all.

I try to make it easier for everyone else to coexist and exchange some positive spirit. On the move quite a lot but always keen on relaxing in a cosy cafe, have a cup of tea and read or write for the whole day, doing pretty much nothing. Even though I move, I still live slowly, stop and talk to people and eat simple fresh food.

What makes me happy are tasty fruits and veggies, the sound of sea waves, dancing after I showered, cycling in the rain... and of course, good films.

I surely have my goals but I am not a fan of long-term plans. (here's where last minute cs requests save me :)) When it comes to travelling... Would cherish the time spent with a local bunch more than a famous monuments touring.

I have been vegetarian for a more than 10 years.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to live as I'm beginning.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films. I watch films and I read screenplays. I like many genres but I wouldn't like to waste time on a movie that doesn't bring anything to my life as (pleasure is something:)) I keep thinking there's still tons of good ones I haven't seen.
From classics I adore 'Blow up', 'Festen' and 'Persona'. And from recent films I liked 'Dogtooth', 'Relatos Salvajes', 'Lucía y el sexo', 'Jagten', 'Güeros'

Music. Although there are some classics I would always be faithful to, I search for something new all the time.
Owen Pallett, Meshell Ndegeocello, Janis Joplin, The Doors and CocoRosie are on the top of my standard list but I like almost all music genres. It just has to be tunely interesting.
electronic jazzy vibe is what I'm hearing just now.

Books. Wojciech Kuczok, Marcin Swietlicki and Bruno Schultz are the first three I can think of as my beloved writers (sorry I'm not very international with my book taste). I read poetry, plays and scripts quite a lot.

Books are amazing. Bless you, Gutenberg. If they're in pdf.. hmm well that's still ok.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to dance real slow to really fast music.
Play the keyboard, if you're keen.

For now want to learn how to survive harsh winters. Honestly want to try anything you want to teach me.

Oh and in these harsh winters, I would just do winter sports!
