About Me

ABOUT ME

I am an artist and vocalist, and I think about both art and music as similar creative processes. Anything involving deep thought catches my attention easily, and I love to contemplate the deeper mysteries of the universe by equally dissecting everyday life. Anything from obscure traditions within a sect of society to the way words came to mean what they mean today can keep me entertained for hours.
I love talking to people in a way that creates dialogue and a conversation (more than just chatting) so don't be afraid to drop by and say hello!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love both fiction and some non-fiction. In fiction, I enjoy a wide variety, from modern novella to sci-fi/fantasy.

I like many different kinds of movies, except for some of the stupider comedies, and gore or horror. Don't get me wrong, I love comedy; however, brain cell death is a high price to pay for a little entertainment. As with so many things, moderation is key. Some of my favorite movies (in no particular order) include: The Royal Tenenbaums, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Grease, Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera, STAR WARS (all of them), Robin Hood: Men in Tights, The Princess Bride, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, SPUN, Dazed and Confused, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, Rolling Kansas, Labyrinth, Forrest Gump, The Brave Little Toaster, Tank Girl, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Donnie Darko, The Crow, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Groundhog Day, What About Bob, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Forrest Gump, A Clockwork Orange, Heathers, Yellow Submarine, Austin Powers, Pulp Fiction, Armageddon, Natural Born Killers, Lucky # Sleven, Crank

Same goes for taste in Music. I like a little bit of everything, from Folk music to House. I like music from all parts of the globe, and will listen to anything once. I don't mind club music, but some of the new hip-hop and rap I find is just repetitive and annoying. I end up listening to some of it anyway, because nothing can keep me from dancing, but I really wish they'd get over some of the current fads.

As for food, I like to try all kinds of things. I'm broke right now, so I end up making all kinds of weird recipes with what I've got in my cupboards. I like cooking, and will often modify existing recipes to suit my tastes. As for eating out, I love sushi, seafood and I'll try anything once. In Trinidad, where my family is from, there is a large variety of cultures, so I've been exposed to many different tastes and flavours.
