I'm Torben, 30 years old and currently living in Cologne, together with my girlfriend Chiara.

I love all kind of sports, but my main passion is Tennis, which I've been playing on a semi professional level since I'm a child. Through Tennis, I was able to study in the US (Missouri) and play with teammates from all over the world. Here I very much enjoyed getting to know people from different cultures, which is still fun and exciting to me, when I get the chance to meet someone with a different background.

Besides tennis, I enjoy all kinds of ball sports, besides running, and currently got into Hyrox.

My friends describe me as energetic, enthusiastic and emphatic, and I like to think about myself as someone who often brings joy and a bright mood to others. I enjoy a good laugh and like to connect with new people and hear their story.

Besides my family, friends and sports, I love nature, which is the main reason for my trip to New Zeeland. I'm very excited to discover the wonderful landscapes of this beautiful country, which has been a childhood dream of mine. Specifically mountains fascinate me, be it on skiers or hiking boots. Well... more likely trail running shoes than hiking boots :-)

Music: All kind of genres, from classic piano over rock to hip hop, pop and electronic. "Everything that's good" :-)
Favorite artists include imagine dragons, macklemore, rise against, red hot chilli peppers and eminem.

Movies: Interstellar, inception, the dark night, lord of the rings, good will hunting, prestige, catch me if you can.

Series: Game of thrones, stranger things, breaking bad, prison break.

Books: Harry potter, inkheart, eragon.

I believe that teaching is best when personalized instead of a "one fits all" approach. To teach someone we should know exactly who we are teaching.
I'm very open minded to learn new perspectives from new people :-)
