About Me

I really enjoy meeting new people and I'm open and respectful to all walks of life. I find it difficult to fill these things out, but once you meet me and we start talking, I'm an open book.

"Live in the sunshine,
Swim the sea,
Drink the wild air"

If you are looking to stay with me, PLEASE READ! I'm really easy going, and I just have a few of requests if you want to stay with me. First, please send a personalized request. Couchsurfing is about community, so please treat it as such and not like a hotel booking service. Second, if your profile is incomplete, please don't bother requesting to stay with me (no references is fine). Finally, send a request to stay, not a message. That's pretty much it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely love Couchsurfing! I think it's the only way to travel.. I've met some amazing and beautiful people who have taken me into their homes and treated me just like family. Where else can you find this?! Now I have lifelong friends all over the world.
Back in 2015 I took an amazing road trip in Northeast US and got to experience the other side of Couchsurfing and it was awesome! I was able to reconnect with some previous surfers who visited me in Nashville as well as make some new friends. This truly is a great community!

In the summer of 2016, I backpacked my way around western Europe! That was one of the most freeing things I've ever done for myself. I learned a lot about myself, about this community, and the world in general. I love to talk about it, so don’t say I didn't warn you if you ask! It was great to reconnect with some friends I've made while hosting in Nashville and I made some wonderful new friends along the way. While I'm home, I really enjoying hosting! It's been a pleasure to meet people of other cultures and backgrounds.

Interests

Really enjoy being outdoors.. Camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, running, surfing (poorly), SUP. I love cooking, especially on the grill, and am happy to cook for my hosts and guests when I'm not out exploring the city or the wilderness.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music.. I love music. My first concert ever was Rush, and after that I was hooked on going to concerts. If you stay with me, I'd be happy to share my record collection with you. There's nothing like spinning a few records over a nice glass of whisky!

Movies - Every time I watch a movie, it's like seeing it for the first time. I have a hard time recalling movies for some reason, so picking a favorite is difficult for me.

Books - So many good ones out there! The Heart of the Runaway was written by my friend Liberty Miller and is so good! Pick it up and read it! Lately I've just been reading kayaking guidebooks and memoirs that people have given me to read. Trying to make my way through The Unteathered Soul, but it is so heavy, I'm finding it difficult to read too much at one time. The Alchemist changed my life!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing thing I've done.. Well let's just say I'm very adventurous! So, ask me when you meet me! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some things about grilling and cooking in general.. Like to learn about different cultures and to get to know people from everywhere. I will talk your ear off about kayaking and my business venture if you let me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm pretty fun and easygoing. Enjoy good conversation, drinks and food. I'm a decent cook so I can make us dinner :)
