About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the world as much as possible

ABOUT ME

Yeah, I'm a Finnish guy in my mid-20's, currently working on my Bachelor's in business. Lived half of my childhood in Sweden, then moved to Finland where I've spent most of my days. I still occasionally head back to Sweden to live and work for short periods and right now I'm in South Korea as an exchange student, so I do have a tendency to get myself going.
I'd say that I'm an inquisitive guy. I enjoy constantly finding out and experiencing new stuff. Even though in some matters I'm highly opinionated, I'm also very open minded and enjoy long discussions on many many subjects.
Usually I like to think carefully through what I'm going to say, but then again, sometimes I just blurt things out. I'd like to think I have a great sense of humour, but hey, everybody says that and at least half the time it's not true...:) So you'll have to find that out yourself.
Nothing else pops into mind right now, but perhaps I'll update again in a while.

PHILOSOPHY

Well, I believe that we only have one life to live and you never know when it's over, so you just gotta go for it 100%.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing experiences are still very limited, since I just joined, but I suppose/hope I'll be able to update this section soon enough.

Interests

Music is the definite number one! Or number two after travelling...
Books are very much used in my household, as is tv, web, video games and such. But none of these is something I can't live without.
What I have trouble living without is going out or just spending quality time with good friends. Luckily, it seems that one can find good friends everywhere in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not that passionate about movies really, but I do enjoy an occasional flick. Not really too concerned over genres and now that I think about it, I find it hard to start mentioning any names.
Music for me is heavy metal, or hard rock or most of their subgenres. Nowadays I also seem to get along with other kinds of music and especially when the vocals are great, I respect it. Name dropping is a bit hard with music as well, since it seems that every month I have a new favourite.
Aa, books. This one's easy. Historical fiction such as Wilbur Smith, Conn Iggulden, Robert Harris, Bernard Cornwell, etc. Also some classics have actually been good despite the misgivings I had. Count of Monte Cristo perhaps the best of that category.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This part's a bit difficult, cos what I deem amazing is just everyday life for some people and vice versa.
But well, at home, all Midsummer festivals when the sun doesn't set at all have been great and sometimes, in right circumstances, amazing. And in the wintertime, when walking home from a night out and you stop to watch the northern lights for a moment, you get a feeling that this is something special.
When abroad, even small things seem quite priceless. Climbing the Eiffel tower, haggling over a fake watch in Chinese market, drinking soju with locals in Korea... It's all great

Teach, Learn, Share

Awwrite, well, I have been singing in rock/metal bands for most of my life, so I suppose I could give a few pointers about singing in general; be it screaming, growling, clean voices or falsettos, I love doing it and thus can maybe share something.
Now what else... Well, I used to be Finnish champion in wrestling and a part of the national sumo team prospects, so yeah, I can teach a move or two, I guess...:)
