About Me
CURRENT MISSION
leaving room in my agenda for spontaneous randomness
ABOUT ME
I've grown up traveling. I've collected little bits of my life everywhere and I highly treasure the friends I've made in various parts of the world. I have now settled in the Netherlands (which is where I was born). I live and work in Rotterdam, recently graduated with a degree in architecture. I (still) enjoy the student life, festivals, impulsive trips and planned trips, creative outbursts, inside jokes, being with close friends and meeting new people that surprise me.
PHILOSOPHY
"oh, instincts are misleading. You shouldn't think what you're feeling. They don't tell you what you know you should want." -Death Cab for Cutie.
Don't let principles get in the way of life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host and I surf. Both groups and individuals.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed with friends in Germany and Poland, and we've had a lot of couchsurfers in our house in Rotterdam. Too many to count actually.
Interests
architecture, architectural theory, art, graphic design (but not the slick minimal kind), music (but not the slick minimal kind), colours, emotions, sarcasm, wine, beer, whiskey, discussions, festivals, theme parties, theater, and a lot more of course. I just wouldn't want to call myself an expert on anything.
Music, Movies, and Books
You find me listening to a lot of rock/electro mixes, Drum 'n Bass, Balkan beats, or more experimental stuff. But sometimes you also find me singing along to Ke$ha or headbanging to teenage punk rock.
Never mess with Muse or Incubus. They saved my teenage years.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being an architect in Melbourne, seeing trees talk at Wilson's Prom, discovering Paris on a step, luxury for 10 euros in Romania, denying my Dutch heritage at Sziget, every Belgian beer I've ever had, PDO Beach in Muscat, having seen Vietnam before capitalism hit hard,. And the best part about Barcelona were definitely the stolen Nutella buns.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yeah. I'm sure I can teach you things. We'll just have to figure out what. I'd like to learn to see the world in a different way. Sometimes.
