Nature-lovin travel addict trying to stay in one spot- for once! I can help you discover the trails and sights that make the north country the only place in the Midwest I'd call home, and I know where the good restaurants are too. If that fails, I can stay up talking about the world at large. I really enjoy couchsurfing and love the company.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One night in Vietnam I met a woman named Na in a park. She didn't speak a word of English and I don't speak Vietnamese, but we spent the whole evening talking about our lives, even went out to dinner. She told me about her children and her work and her story.
One day I was walking down the road in Nepal and a woman was walking next to me. We started talking and I wound up staying with her and her family for several days, meeting the neighbors and even milking the buffalo. She even taught me to cook. We wrote for a long time afterwards.
These little stories aren't big deals (they aren't the Taj Majal on Holi, or diving in Tasmania or visiting remote villages in Fiji, which I've also done), but they are what I love the most: how we're all human.
