About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Saving money to unplug from the system!

ABOUT ME

I live on the ends of the spectrum: I am a lost soul, but I know exactly where I'm going. I can't live without Mexico, but I want to be blinded by the bright lights of the world. I'm an open book, but I don't trust anyone. I will welcome anyone in my life as long as they are polite (and interesting!).

I am looking forward to growing old, but I'm terrified of becoming irrelevant or ordinary. I have a terrible case of wanderlust. It's both a curse and a blessing!

PHILOSOPHY

"Reality is a traitor; it's easy to misjudge things. So with your own two eyes, please decide the worth of this place. Do it with your own standards."

There is so much noise in the world, so many people telling you what to think, what to feel, what to be. I don't believe in that. My heart is strong. I want to pour my heart out, instead of filling it with noise.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking to host people from around the world who want to enjoy Austin. Currently not traveling, so my couch is open for anyone with an open mind and a fresh perspective in life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had friends form around the world for a long time, but only hosted once while still living with my parents. Looking forward to welcoming more people now that I'm an independent adult.

Interests

Design (not the superfluous one, but the one that makes the world a better place, and yes, that includes some fashion), technology. Design+Technology=My Passion.

I also enjoy the fine things in life, a good meal, a good movie, a good sunset. Exquisite doesn't have to be expensive. Love a good conversation and above all, love thinking up new ways to do things, thinking outside the box. We live at the end of the world, so let's make it better while we have it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: A Single Man, Vicky Christina Barcelona, Fight Club, The Matrix, Amelie.

Music: Ayumi Hamasaki, Apparat, Darren Hayes, Fenech-Soler, Boys Noize.

Books: I am bad with literature, but I love reading Wikipedia articles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am most amazed by how different the lives of people are, and how happiness doesn't depend on your lifestyle, but instead it's something internal.

My biggest achievement I think would be to leave my country at age 20 alone to study abroad, graduating with honors and getting a great job where I've learnt to much.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to show you how to rock your way through Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. I'll teach you how to drive a manual car. If you need help with Spanish, I'm your man. I'm also pretty awesome at moving through airports and living simply.

I'd love to become better at cooking for myself every day and learn more languages: german, japanese, javascript...
