About Me

CURRENT MISSION
LIVE!!! EXPLORE!!! DO!!! BE!!!
Live like my life depends on it; Explore this crazy, wicked, and wonderful world; Do every creative and inspiring thing that has planted seeds in my mind; Be the person that GOD intended me to be.

ABOUT ME

Laid back, easy-going, funny, serious, handsome, (my mom says) charming, quiet, boisterious, a great wing man, sensitive, likes to party, loves to chill, creative, analytical, entrepreneur, humble, thankful, spritual, trusting of vibes, great listener, loves to converse, people-person(to know me is to love me), procrastinator, stylish, so many adjective and adverbs describe me. Meet me to confirm, add, or possibly delete, which I doubt, to my attributes list. :) Peace!

PHILOSOPHY

"each one teach one", "Words are powerful, so watch what you say", "Karma is a B$%#h, and her bite is killer", I treat people in the mannner they present themselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love experiencing different cultures. Learning from our differences while relishing in our commonality. I really enjoy sharing and listening to stories about life, the good and the bad. You learn and truly appreciate a persons culture when you actively immerse yourself into their world.

I bring a refreshing perspective to whomever hosted me. Americans seem to have a bad rap in the eyes of many Europeans. I could easy ramble off a number of negative adjectives. It would be cool to roam the planet, representing the positive attributes of being an American.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am have couch surfed in Copenhagen, Berlin, Vienna, Rome, and Paris.

Interests

People interst me. Different languages, sounds, and rituals interest me. I enjoy a cold Heineken or two.. or three. Went to Amsterdam just to drink Heineken at the Heineken Museum. I enjoy going to museums and art galleries. I spent hours at the Louvre over 2 day. And it was amazing. I love a good party too. Being social, interacting with others is enjoyable to me. I am slowly getting back into photography. I love taking pictures because photos take me back to that time and place. So wherever I travel to, the camera is close by. I am a man with many interests that needs more. LOL

I truly enjoy conversing with people that have a genuine and sincere interest in African-American people and culture. I like denouncing stereotypes that linger over the heads of African-American men and people in general.
I enjoy seeing and participating in other cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really dont have a favorite movie..well FRIDAY'S & Boy's N the Hood are classics. As of late I have been getting into foreign films “Aurore” and "Valentin" to name a couple.( thanks Canadian Broadcasting) Also I saw Kung Fu Hustle recently, hilarious.

B.I.G, Rakim, Steve Wonder, Loose Ends, Soul II Soul, NAS, India. Arie, Chicago-NYC-B'more & Detroit House, most hip-hop before it became tainted, Roots, Common, Old School, Jazz, Rock & Roll, I vibe to many things.

One of my favorite books "Ways of White Folks" by Langston Hughes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I partied in the streets with millions of people in Salvador Bahia, Brazil from sun rise to sun set during two carnivals.
Drinking Brama, a Brazilain beer, in Pelourhino with 10 others cats that barely spoke enghlish. Someone started to beat box, and the Brazilian rap flow from these brothas was off the hook.
Visitied the island of Itaparica, in a private ceremony,an Afro-Brazilian elder of Candomblé channeled the diety Shango, a true religious & cultural experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

EACH ONE TEACH ONE.

Stay true to your beliefs and idelogies but never impose your will on others. Learn and be accepting of different ways of loving and enjoying life. No way is better than another.
