关于我

CURRENT MISSION

I'm always making things, and finding ways to enjoy life.

ABOUT ME

I'm a tailor at a shop in New York City. We make suits and other garments, mostly for Broadway shows, but also for private clients.
For 17 years I've also danced Argentine tango (and taught it for much of that time).
I'm equally introverted and extroverted, love to explore cities, read biographies, knit, eat, and shop (i do love fashion). I laugh with gusto, and enjoy getting into conversations with people about things that they're passionate about.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Over the years of being a tango dancer, I've often stayed with friends around the world and had them stay with me when they visit (when I had a bigger apartment, that is!).
The ones I've enjoyed the most are of course the times when I've really connected with my host(s) or guest(s) and we tell stories, make short videos, watch movies, play games, go out to eat, or just walk around.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

While traveling in Italy just after high school, my brother and I happened to be ushered into the tiny church of the winning contrada right after the horse race Il Palio in Siena, Italy. We were on the arm of an elderly Italian lady who "adopted" our family while we were there. There were hundreds (or thousands, i don't know) of people outside, trying to get in, and hundreds inside, trying to fit. Everyone was singing and waving flags and the air was filled with smoke or mist or human sweat and the afternoon light was casting a holy glow around the room. Just before we managed to get out (we knew that others belonged in there much more than we did!) they carried the jockey in, causing even louder shouting, chanting, and singing, and a shift of everyone into the center of the room, trying to touch him. I'll never forget that light, and the amazing sense of community they all shared.
