About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living

ABOUT ME

Having lived in Switzerland since I was born, I was led to understand my chance; however, growing up in a protected bubble keeps you from widening not only your culture, but as well -- and more importantly -- your vision of life. So I have decided to make my own education by letting people talk to me, and occasions appear in front of my eyes.
I have in mind to finish my studies while travelling around Europe and then, once my paper in the pocket, leaving for good and finally get myself "really" educated.

PHILOSOPHY

Do not expect anything, but be ready to something; give yourself to the world and to the very present, and you will be necessarily satisfied as it answers you in a manner or another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard from CS while talking with friends, and the concept seemed absolutely incredible to me. What's awesome is the fact that so many people think positively, that is for the good of other people; and I have always thought it rare nowadays.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First experience: summer 2012, in Copenhaguen.
Second and third experiences in Manchester and York, where I was welcomed by two outstanding communities.
I have been very lucky so far, I can tell! At least those experiences altogether justify such a way of travelling; we can never sufficiently imagine how much people are able to offer. Couchsurfing is a bit like going from surprise to surprise.

Interests

Thankfully my studies (literature, philosophy and education), dance (all styles, at anytime), and everything that can be done outside; that is, quite a lot. Let me do this description in winter, and I may be more synthetic ;)
or not... May it be the beautiful starry nights in summer or breathtaking lands of snow, I cannot keep myself from being impressed by the world.

Annnnnnd: good beers and wine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Tarantino, the Coen brothers, Jim Jarmusch, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Monty Python ...
Documentaries
Series: Futurama, South Park, The Simpsons, Kaamelott, Black Mirror, True Detective...

(Audio)books: I'd say Albert Camus; and all the beauty of writing is summed up in one name.

Music: Bob Dylan, Dhafer Youssef, Nicolas Jaar, David August, Apollo Brown, Georges Brassens, rampue, Buena Vista Social Club, Kiasmos... In brief, from the most 'tripping' techno sound to the most poetic texts, passing by the enchanting rhythm of salsa and latino music. I favour every artist who strives to praise music as an art (an aim). Music regulates the rhythm of our hearts according to situations, it's like a second beat in our body.

"Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind
Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves
The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow
Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free
Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves
Let me forget about today until tomorrow."

Bob Dylan
