ABOUT ME

I am open minded 45 year old but I don't act it, I thrive of travel, making music, art, people and putting the world to right. I love to go to festivals, partying, camping, walking up mountains, swimming / surfing and nature. I am interested in alternative ways of living and some day I would like to live in a sustainable living enviroment. I do not watch television as I do not like to follow the masses as I prefer to live my life not watch others live theirs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have done a little couch surfing with some lovely people in Italy when I travelled with my friend. I have also participated by taking in people when they have been stuck for somewhere to stay and also some that had been made homeless until they got themselves sorted out. I just love meeting genuine people, learning from their experiences and helping as i go along.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was much younger I was homeless and spent plenty of times couch surfing and sleeping in shelters and also though out my life I have travelled I have found myself in sleeping in parks, vans, yurts, communes, 5 star hotel gardens and washing lines. Although I do prefer a comfortable bed.

MUSIC:
Variety is the spice of life and so I listen to all sorts of music such as Electronic, Dub, Folk, Jazz, experimental, World Music. Anything goes really depending on the mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I use to organise electronic music nights raising thousands for Stepping Stones Nigeria which is charity that defends and upholds the rights of children in the Niger Delta. It's a good feeling bringing happiness making so many people smile whilst also saving the lives of children.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well what do I say about this, I am a woman that's done many things but a master of none. I worked in a arts school for disabilities assisting in arts, music, performance, dance, gardening, outdoor pursuits, trampolining, swimming, yoga, health and Wellbeing whilst assisting with all their medical needs. I use to own my own business in painting and decorating and know alot about repairing houses and interior design. I've put on events and worked at numerous festivals putting up yurts and different structures, creating decor, playing in bands ( I play flute and percussion), dj ing, advertising. I can give advice on travel, visas and places to stay. What ever you want to know I am willing to help. I just learn as I go along and give any thing a go within reason.
