ABOUT ME

A lost twenty-something who hungers for something more.

i'm a total dork. I can act cool, suave, and sophisticated but eventually my dorkiness comes out. Whether i'm jamming out to lame music on the radio, making faces at people driving past me, or breaking out my lame dance moves, this is just a warning :p

I like to go for hikes, visit museums and art galleries, go to the movies. Hopefully, this year I'll be able to go to more concerts, music festivals, etc.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Books: love the classics, always fiction, and post-modern. faves include House of Leaves, Blindness, His Dark Materials, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, practically anything by Kundera, and Lolita, my ultimate fave. Also some graphic novels: Watchmen, Asterios Polyp, Fun Home, and most Batman GNs.

Music: oh man...complicated. Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Daft Punk, The Pixies, Deadmau5, Scissor Sisters, The Smiths, The Decemberists, Pink Floyd, Animal Collective, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Joanna Newsom, White Stripes.
i also love classic rock, 70s salsa, 90s house, electronica, some rap, some pop, generally all 80s music and i have a weird love for Hall and Oates. don't ask me why, i can't explain it myself.

I LOVE musicals and all theater in general. Definitely need to go see more shows; it's been too long.

Movies: The Godfather, Star Wars, LOTR, Natural Born Killers, Snatch, Jackie Brown, Amelie, Superbad....idk. too many. this just came to mind.

Shows: Breaking Bad, It's Always Sunny, Louie, Downton Abbey, Six Feet Under (my favorite show ever), Cowboy Bebop, Peep Show, old school Law and Order, House of Cards, Archer, Battlestar Galactica, Arrested Development, Trailer Park Boys, and Adventure Time.
