About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am finishing up vintage in NZ looking at a vintage in Oregon USA later in the year, on the move again and looking forward to it.

ABOUT ME

I am a 30yo Kiwi who loves the outdoors, meeting people and exploring new places. I love good food, good wine and good coffee. I love listening to live music and going for a drink or two but I'm not a party girl (well occasionally I am haha). I am happy in the snow smashing some pow, relaxing on a beach working on my tan, reading a good book or hiking a trail to some beautiful place. I love to learn and experience new things.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is live life to the full because you never know what can happen - this directly relates to my life as a couple of years ago I had an accident snowboarding and broke my back. Luckily I escaped with no long term issues, at this point I decided that I wanted to go travelling as its something I have wanted to do for many years and here I am! So therefore live life to the full, if you want something to happen, make it happen!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently travelling, looking to surf a couch or just meet up with a friendly face who might be able to show me their city from a local point of view.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am completely new to CS, and hope to be able to use it to meet new people who are willing to hang out and show me their city/country. But if they don't have time a simple couch to call mine for a day or two is all good. I hope to be able to reciprocate when I finally decide to settle back in NZ.

Interests

Snowboarding, hiking, diving, reading, as I love food but am not the greatest cook, part of my travels revolves around trying new foods in the hope I can improve my skills.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, I like all different kinds especially if its live. I also love books, no specific tastes just anything that is a good read when I want to relax.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent a year living and working at a ski resort in Canada, I spent 6 weeks of that living in the back of a van while road tripping across British Colombia, The Yukon, Alaska and Vancouver Island. I've been travelling South and Central America for a year now and have seen many amazing things along the way, so much more to see as well. I've worked for ski resorts, liquor stores, pharmaceutical companies, hostels, on a sail boat between Panama and Colombia as a cook (even though as my friends from home will tell you I am a terrible cook), as well on a cacao plantation while in Costa Rica learning to make chocolate - a very tasty month!

Teach, Learn, Share

Im a native English speaker so if you're looking to improve your English I can try to help, as I'm in South America at the moment if you can help me with my terrible Spanish then that would be awesome.
