About Me

I'm Tracy. I work in Education field (from teaching to advising to creating and providing curriculum).
I have been working from home for over a decade. It gives me a lot of flexibilities, but I start to get bored with it.
I'm getting back on CS now and might be hitting the road again soon.
I miss people and the real world out there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've joined CS since 2006, but then I've lost access to my account (when Yahoo took away the Blog 360 service, and I abandoned my Yahoo email, and forgot my CS password and can't retrieve it since I didn't remember my Yahoo email password either). Wow, yeah. You can tell by now that I'm pretty old and forgetful.
Then I created this account again in 2012 out of nostalgia. I have had a daughter by then, so Couch Surfing was not the best mode of accommodation.
Anyway, I'm revisiting my CS account now (in 2025), when my daughter has just become a Couch Surfer herself. With that, I'm an empty-nester now and my feet are itching again. I might be back on the road soon.

Interests

I love nature, so anything that is nature related would be or become my interests.

  • camping
  • biking
  • campfires
  • hiking in nature
  • swimming in lakes

Music, Movies, and Books

Book: My all time favorite: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
Fun fact: It was also the first novel that I read completely in English. (My first language is Vietnamese)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left Vietnam at 17 with $500 cash in my pocket to start my study abroad journey on scholarships.
Every challenge, every adventure, every place that I've been to, every people that I've met, every lesson that I've leanred are all amazing.
