ABOUT ME

I'm a traveller, and have spent about 8 years of my life living in Asia, primarily in Japan and China, as well as almost a year in Poland. I love learning languages and linguistics is my passion, as well as talking to people. I love to dance, and over the years have tried nearly every different type that I've encountered, from Salsa, Modern Ballroom Dancing, Country Line Dancing, Hip Hop, Flamenco, Belly Dancing, as well as recently taking up fire twirling.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm only just starting to learn about couch surfing and so am learning about what that means... I will be working with two NGO's in my travels, in Guatemala and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which I guess is a form of community-building, so maybe that counts as the answer to this question...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a number of couch surfers on my travels, who got me intrigued in the concept. Since joining I've received some great local advice from people I've met over the net, especially in Cuba, as well as meeting up with people in person for coffee and meals.

I can teach dancing or fire twirling, I guess... or languages, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Polish or English... I also know how to make cheese and yoghurt, which is a little random, I know, but it is a family trait. I'm a teacher, and I love sharing anything I happened to have learned on my travels with others!
