About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning to laugh about things I've forgotten to laugh about.
ABOUT ME
I'm a bit introverted Vietnamese-German twenty-something who studies law in Cologne. Besides trying to finish law school, I thoroughly enjoy being a part-time nerd as well as being a musician. After more than a month on a hiking trail in Spain, I experienced the beauty of a simple life which eventually made me appreciate nature and the companionship of other people again.
I'm also a huge music and stand-up comedy enthusiast and I enjoy going to live performances. Playing the guitar and singing also have been constant factors in my life ever since. You can listen to me here: soundcloud.com/kimvumusic
PHILOSOPHY
The way things are
does not determine the way they ought to be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've become more open minded after I left my home town to move to a new city. I thought CouchSurfing would be a great possibility to gain different experiences in order to become a wise man - just like Confuzius.
Hopefully I will meet new people, experience new cultures, see crazy things and eat crazy dishes. You are more than welcome to introduce me to your local cuisine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking the "Camino de Santiago" made me realize that keeping distance from your familiar environment and meeting people from all walks of life is an incredibly valuable experience.
I participated in an international moot court competition and got the chance to plead before judges of the International Court of Justice. I've never felt tinier in my life and I am already pretty small.
I'm not sure whether these things ‘amaze’ me or any other person, but they were pretty cool and fun.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you some chords on the guitar or show you how to find constellations and other interesting (and not so interesting) things in the sky at night.
I'm always up for improving my English and trying to see things in a way that I can laugh about it. I like jokes.
