ABOUT ME

Moved to Lisbon to study advanced Portuguese courses (while doing online teaching) and eventually landed a job in customer service. Portugal has been home for 4 years now. I did studies in Foreign Language Learning and Teaching (Romance Languages: FR, ES, IT, PT).

I decided to dedicate my free time into learning languages (mainly Slavic) at the University of Lisbon - Croatian, Bulgarian... and recently started Romanian.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love learning something new from people of different walks of life.
I'm keen on promoting European languages and cultures in the Philippines. I would like to learn more of your culture and way of life and I love sharing it to my circle of friends, my family and my former students.

Interests

I'm into learning European Languages. I studied French, Spanish and Italian at our University in the Philippines.
I wanted to expand my horizons and that brought me to learning Portuguese and Lithuanian :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attended a summer course in Bulgarian studies through a scholarship grant and spent some weeks in Veliko Tărnovo practicing the language and ending up learning horo, the traditional Bulgarian folk dance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lisbon's been home for a little more than 4 years now so I can share what I know about Portugal (the major cities, experience doing the Fisherman's Trail/Rota Vicentina - a 226.5-km coastal trail along the cliffs of Southwest Alentejo and Vicentina Coast Natural Park...)

Travel tips and practical info about discovering the Philippines and experiencing it like a local.

A French teacher by training, I can easily help if you're currently learning the language.
