ABOUT ME

I am the only one in my family to have left the states. I enjoy going to school, I am an International Studies major (2 semesters left!), trying to minor in Spanish. I am 20, although I hate "age" for the judgments it tags along with it..I was raised by lovely semi-liberal parents who taught me to be open minded and happy. I have had an amazing life so far, many wonderful memories and am always ready to meet new kinds of people. I like to say I am an artist, but I think everyone is.

PHILOSOPHY

I think of it as you are born a blank canvas..an oil canvas. Then your life starts painting your background..different memories and people added along the way. If you go back and change things its like using turpentine when you mess up. I think my canvas has a lot of room left to be painted on. I live to learn, to help people in whatever way I feel day to day. I am not religious, but I am spiritual. I love being continuously surprised by the kindness of strangers and finding people so different (in the best ways) from myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hitchhiked once in Ireland, but that doesn't really constitute couchsurfing...traveled around a bit in Australia as well

Went against the grain and left my home and looked towards a bigger world. I saw Ireland, a place I had dreamed of my entire life. I met an amazing teacher and climbed cliffs with sheep all around me.
