I'm American, 22, a student, and completely in love with this world and the people in it. Currently living in Amman, Jordan until August 2016.
I love music, good food, horses, people, and learning as much as I can. It would be my life dream to speak every language in the world. Sadly that will never happen, though I'd love it if you'd teach me things in your language(s) and help me try. My favorite place anywhere in the world is on the back of a horse. Theology and psycholinguistics are fascinating to me. I enjoy hearing about people's spiritual journeys. I love tattoos and the stories they tell. I'm completely obsessed with the Arabic language. I wait about 10 minutes to eat cereal after pouring milk into it because I only like it when it's soggy. I dislike cigarettes. I'm the kind of girl that loves a good debate or deep discussion just as much as I love to go out and party.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted and surfed all over the world and love meeting up with people to chat or show them around. I've met some of the most amazing and interesting people I know through this program. I've also learned something from everyone I've met here and hopefully taught them something in return. I'm always looking to have my horizons expanded, and doing so through other people's knowledge always leads to interesting experiences.
Dancing salsa (or trying to rather), reading, riding horses, long conversations, yoga, going camping, being outdoors in general, tattoos, studying languages, mindfulness, trying new foods, political debates, going hiking, drinking wine
Music, Movies, and Books
Latin music all day long -salsa, merengue, raggaeton, bachata. Frank Sinatra, Melodie Gardot, Edith Piaf, Kino, Radiohead, The Kooks, Mumford and Sons, Citizen Cope, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Arcade Fire, The Killers, OneRepublic, Beirut, The xx, Ben Howard, etc
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending a day with a Masaii tribe in Tanzania; the graciousness of the people there was unlike anything I have ever experienced.
