CURRENT MISSION

I live happily in New Orleans, work a lot, play often, and simply live alone and would like offer some of my awesome space to friendly travelers!

ABOUT ME

Well I have lived in Northern California most of my life and I absolutely adore it. It is home to me in many ways and I will always come back to it. I lived in Paris for my junior year of college and traveled around Europe to Spain, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Portugal, England, and Morocco. Loved every moment of it and can't wait to visit again someday (when the Euro isn't quite so rough on the dollar exchange).
In 2008, I went to Ghana and the Ivory Coast for a couple of weeks in June and it was an amazing trip! Such an amazing continent, people showed me new ways to see the world.
The summer of 2009 I went to Austin, Texas and went through Mexico to go to Cuba! It was really incredible and great way to celebrate graduating from SFSU. Cuba is a wonderful place and I learned a ton.
I moved to New Orleans September of 2009 and have really fallen in love with this funky city. I am completing graduate school at Xavier University and am working toward being a teacher, I currently work as a teacher's assistant at a school I love. I miss northern California but feel really great here, love the home that I have come to build and am not in a huge hurry to move.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have an awesome couch! I live alone and have a living room/kitchen space with an available couch. I am super busy and work a lot so I will be available for little tour guiding and such, but the weekends are generally free and ultimately, you all are looking for a couch and I would love to have some friend guests occasionally!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had this account for awhile but have used the site minimally. For the couch surfing I have done and offered between friends and friends of friends, this site took awhile for me to navigate. But I am excited that I've got it up and running again and I look forward to hanging with some fun, mellow, respectful and kind travelers!
