About Me
Hi there! I’m Rahul, a solo endurance cyclist currently on a massive mission to pedal across the length and breadth of India. I started my journey on August 21, 2025, and have already covered over 9,600 kilometers—from the steep climbs of the Western Ghats to hidden coastal gems.
What makes my journey unique is my ride: a single-speed (non-geared) bicycle. With all my camping gear and supplies, my total mobile weight is around 155 kg, which I push through every terrain myself. I believe in slow travel and discovering the "real" India that lies beyond the highways.
I am a strict vegetarian and live a very simple, disciplined life. My goal is to complete this 3-year expedition while documenting the beauty of our country and its people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, traveling is about the people, not just the places. After spending many nights in a tent, I’ve realized that the best way to understand a culture is by sharing a roof and a conversation with locals. I’m here to exchange stories, learn about your way of life, and make friends for a lifetime.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories from the Road: Tales of grit, pushing a heavy cycle through mountains, and surviving the outdoors.
Minimalist Living: Tips on self-supported touring and camping with basic gear.
Inspiration: A firsthand account of how willpower can overcome any physical challenge (like riding 10,000 km without gears!
