ABOUT ME

I'm a person who appreciates an open mind, cultural diversity, humility, and a good sense of humor. Here at home I enjoy hanging out with friends and enjoying dinner together. I also love the outdoors and go hiking whenever possible. When I need a little city action, I enjoy going to San Francisco with friends and listening to live music.
I've been fascinated with different cultures since I was young and have made one of my goals in life to experience other worlds and make a difference abroad and at home. Two years ago I participated in a community service project in Zambia titled, "Do what you can, with you have, where you are."
My husband and I love meeting new friends everywhere we go and especially learning something new about the new cultures we immerse ourselves in. He is an Estonian musician who plays a tres Cuban guitar and is also a Spanish teacher here in the states.

I just joined CS and hope to participate by meeting new people throughout our travels and in return having people at our home when we return.

Interests

Traveling, reading, salsa dancing, jogging, hiking, photography, world music, listening to live music, enjoying delicious food, love coffee and writing in cafe's, and meeting new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books that take me away, usually to another country and teach me something like The alchemist, The book thief, Three cups of tea, The Poisonwood bible, Memoirs of a Geisha, The River Why...
Movies: Forrest Gump is my favorite! I love drama and comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Directed a photography service project with impoverished street children in Zambia. Afterwards, I helped them show off their work at a public photo exhibit in the city.
My latest feat: Running my 1st marathon.
