ABOUT ME

We are an outdoorsy couple, focused on living simply. We aren't married and we don't share the last name Milton, but there was no way around it on the CS profile page.
At home we can be found hanging out and getting dirty on our 4 acres of organic, natural land with our dog, Romero. Our vacations generally involve all sorts of physical activities - like cycling the Oregon coast, living for 7 months in Palau where we spent our time snorkeling, stand up paddling, kayaking, and even did an adventure race, caving and hiking in Costa Rica, trekking in Italy, and even sand-boarding in South Africa.

We love to hike, kayak,and explore new areas. Rachel loves to run and is very passionate about her soccer. Shauna cycles and recently completed a cross country cycling trip. We both love to be fit and challenge ourselves in all that we do.

Did I mention we're crazy, healthy on top of that? We're vegans who try to eat local, organic, and mostly homegrown. Don't worry, we aren't militant vegans, with an aim to shove our lifestyle down anyone else's throat. Just thought you'd want to know.

We are pretty easy going and just generally here to have fun and live. We're over the 9-5 thing and instead devote our time to playing, traveling, exploring, and living out our dreams. Our aim is to be mindful minimalists, living lightly on the earth.

PHILOSOPHY

In some ways, we both feel (for different reasons) that we've wasted some time here doing what others felt we 'should' do rather than doing what we want to do. We're both ready to just live according to our own truth and have fun and travel wherever our life lists take us. Life is way to short to settle, to wait for "someday", or to wear boring underwear.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are opening up our home to the CS community to hopefully meet lots of people and learn from their traveling experiences and continue to add to our own life lists!

兴趣

We love to kayak, hike and go cycling. Rachel loves to run and is always up for a pickup soccer game or some crazy mud/obstacle run. There's always some project underway in our garden, with our fruit trees or avocado orchard.

We love Gabriela y Rodrigo, Jason Mraz, and Melissa Etheridge! We also like Benise and Titiman Flores. When we travel, we seem to find really great music and bring it home with us.
