Over the last 7 years I've lived in Los Angeles, Brussels, Barcelona, Tel Aviv, Brno, & Orange County. I played professional American football in Brussels for 3 seasons before moving back to California in mid-2010. I moved back to Brussels in April 2013 and I plan to stay here for a while. : )

I think the best way to live is to acknowledge that life is short, and although it's important to plan for the future we must also learn to appreciate and enjoy the present and the great moments that it provides us. The better you are at this, the more likely you'll be able to extract joy from life.

I love meeting people while I'm traveling, so naturally I also enjoy meeting people who are traveling while I'm not. I enjoy meeting travelers because I feel like we share a similar mindset and outlook on life - that you only live once and you might as well get out there and see as much of the world while you can. My experiences with Couchsurfing have been great up to this point, and I'm looking forward to meeting more people like myself who have a passion for travel and for sharing new experiences.
