About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep it simple, and enjoy life.

ABOUT ME

I'm 27 and love to travel (obviously). One of my goals in life is to step foot on every continent and visit 100 countries. I'm 4/7 of the way there on the first goal and about 1/4 of the way there on the second. However, the fact that I've actually lived on those 4 continents and not just visited them I think is pretty cool.

I really enjoy the outdoors! There's nothing like communing with the beauty and peacefulness of Mother Nature. I like running and participating in road races, biking, hiking, and generally staying active outdoors and keeping in shape. South Korea is an excellent place for another favorite hobby of mine: hiking. I love to cook. Some people might question my abilities, but that doesn't deter me. ;-) I also like learning languages. Unfortunately I'm only fluent in 1 and proficient in another...but not for lack of trying!

I'm a happy, optimistic person and am excited about life and it's opportunities. I surround myself with like-minded people. My passion is seeing the world. And I intend to explore every nook and cranny.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy life. Stay optimistic because things always turn around. Bad moods bring other people down with you, good moods pull them up. Don't be afraid to do things at the spur of the moment. Take opportunities when they present themselves; they rarely come back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed someone's couch in Italy and had a great experience getting to know them. I'm active with the Seoul CS group and have met a lot people from there and made many friends. The Seoul CS group is an awesome, dynamic, entertaining group and I love hanging out with them whenever I can. I also have met a couple of very patient locals who help me with my Korean!

Interests

travel, languages, running, photography, TV, politics/international affairs, cooking. Trying to get some new hobbies. One of those things that you say you'd love to do, but never pursue it. Like scuba diving or snowboarding. I don't play any instruments but I'd like to learn. I gotta get on top of these things and just do them.
