Travel Australia for the next year before I go back to the states!

ABOUT ME

Hello!
My friends would call me energetic and social with a bubbly personality.
I love meeting new people and experiencing new things.
I don't judge, and I LOVE to talk... about anything.
I'm constantly singing.
I'm not super competitive, which allows me to enjoy almost anything, even things i'm terrible at like bowling, pool, and drinking. haha!

PHILOSOPHY

Tolerance is key to everything. The way other people live their lives is of no concern to you as long as it doesn't hurt people, or infringe on others' rights. You don't have to like everyone, or agree with what they do, but if people were more tolerant it would be a much less angry world.
Work on it, folks!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to travel, so I'll be couch surfing often.
As soon as I get back to the states and get my own place I plan on opening up my couch for fellow travelers.
I'm also open to just meeting up with people in the area to do something fun!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surfed a few times. Each have been good experiences, giving me the opportunity to meet awesome folks and travel!

Work out (les mils classes are the best!), play piano, soccer, singing, tennis, yoga, rock climbing, nature walks/hikes, dance it out anywhere, shopping, i'm a big reader as well. Oh! and swimming, beach stuff
going to little music gigs at coffee shops is a great love of mine since i love finding new music.
I'm gonna be a music teacher one day, so any new information i can get i'll take!
I LOVE power tools. I grew up in a family of amateur carpenters and home renovators so I can do a LOT. i'll gladly help with a project or help you figure out some stuff.

Maximum Overdrive is my all time favorite movie. Ever.
Oh man, I LOVE terrible movies. I like good movies too, but the bad ones, the corny and ridiculous ones are probably my favorite. One goal in my life is to own a huge array of zombie movies.
Zombie, Marvel comics, superhero, james bond, indiana jones, musicals, tell-all documentaries... i dunno i love it all.

books- ASOIAF, Sookie Stackhouse Novels, Harry Potter, Black Dagger Brotherhood. I'm always open to new suggestions.

Music- absolutely anything. I'll try it out. I love live shows, even tiny ones. I CRAVE new music, so please help me learn!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I GOT TO PET CHEETAHS AT THE ZOO. Probably the coolest thing I've done so far... even though they weren't nearly as wild as I'd have liked. I DID have a ham sandwhich in my bag though... haha!
Update: Petting cheetahs was fun, but I hiked the Tongariro Crossing in New Zealand and THAT was the most recent amazing thing I've done (as of dec 13, 2013)
Went on a 10 day music tour through Germany, France, and Austria with my college choir. We sang in beautiful places and saw amazing things. ask me about it sometime.
As soon as i graduated I left the states and moved to Australia, on my own, to become and Au Pair for a family with three little girls. that's my current job and it's crazy fun.

Music: Piano, singing. This will be my actual job one day so I can teach it all pretty well :-)
Power Tools: I grew up in a family of electric tool users. I've been a part of renovating houses since I was 12. In the states I have a whole collection of them, but i couldn't bring them to OZ with me. :-/
Sewing: I've made Halloween costumes, changes wide legged pants to skinnies, resewn buttons on, made completely new shirts from different shirts. If i don't know how I can look it up and figure it out pretty quickly.
Cooking: I'm no professional at this, but I can do it. Especially with a recipe. I'd love to cook for people when I stay with them. Teach them about american cuisine...? I dunno but I'm happy to do it.
Workout: Need a walking buddy? or want someone to try a class with you? I'll try anything once. I love working out but i often need more motivation. so going with people helps :-)
