Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I haven't officially hosted anyone but have met some really cool people through this website and some lifelong friends! I think it's a great community and I don't see myself becoming less involved anytime soon :)

Interests

Surfing, longboarding, snowboarding, most boardsports really and anything to do with the water is cool! Love rowing and swimming and drinking loads of water! Oh and eating food. I love food. And being outside. And being new places, seeing and doing new things, seeing new faces, hanging out with my friends. Nature documentaries. Or footage of things close up or slow motion. I love music, playing and listening to. Nothin beats a live gig either but house sessions are savage!!! And of course science.. I like most things in general to some degree but these are some of the things I'm particularly interested in :)

Music, Movies, and Books

LOVE Terry Pratchett but I haven't been reading books properly in a while. Oughta fix that...

I like a good movie. Wouldn't say I have a favourite genre even, if it's good I'll watch it. Most recent one I watched was Kick Ass again the other night. Good movie. Before that I watched City Of God. Very good movie. There, I'm cultured!! ;)

I love pretty much all genres of music. Long as it's flowin'. Love rock, from instrumental to a bitta thrash to grunge. Love bands like Tool and RHCP and QOTSA. Really like electro too some of it - ambient stuff, house music, bitta dubstep. Really like Booka Shade, Four Tet, The Avalanches - I could go on... I like music!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went kayaking and swimming at night in a phosphorescent lake. Unreal. The highlight.
Also a balloon ride over Del Mar in San Deigo at sunset.
And any time spent at home in Kerry with the mountains, lakes and beaches is always pretty awe inspiring!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach/learn - maybe nothing to big to offer. Although if you wanna surf or skateboard I'll DEFINITELY be up for going along. I could teach surfing but transport to the beach might be a problem..
Oh and if ye have any instruments to play I have a flute, guitar, didgeridoo and African drum to jam along with, though I don't play any of them particularly well but music is fun :)
