ABOUT ME

We are a young couple with a great love of traveling and exploring new areas. Trent is very well read, very much a bookworm, and always quick to hear or tell a funny story. Cigdem is very sweet, generous, and instantly likable in any situation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, we are looking for places to stay for short periods of time throughout Eastern Europe. We don't have our own place yet, but we will be living in Chicago next year and our couch will be open.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are very new here. Trent had met someone who backpacked Europe using this site, so he became interested in the idea.

Interests

We love to explore small areas that are off the beaten path. When we get to travel, we try to avoid the touristy things most of the time and really get to know what the locals are like. We love trying new foods and seeing ancient buildings. Also, a home cooked meal with good friends is one of life's true joys.

Music, Movies, and Books

We love Lord of the Rings trilogy. New Girl and Raising Hope are our big TV shows. Music is a pretty wide range, though nothing too angry. Cigdem loves anything to do with crafting and design, so books on that are always nice. Trent is big into self-development, so anything by John Maxwell, Les Brown, Anthony Robbins, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For Trent, seeing the ancient city of Perge in Turkey was really amazing. To literally walk wear Paul and the apostles preached was humbling. For Cigdem, Chicago has become one of her favorite places in the world. When we move back to America, she's decided that's where we will be living.
