The long answer:
I'm interested in meeting incrementally less boring people, and what better platform for finding adventurous and interesting people than couchsurfing. I plan to start traveling more, and hosting now surrounds me with people of a similar mindset, inspires me to keep moving forward and seeing places, hopefully ignites friendships, and builds up my profile so that when I go from host to surfer I have many good references and can find hosts around the world and won't be attacked by monkeys during the night while sleeping outside on the sidewalk.

The short answer:
I don't want to be attacked by monkeys.
