About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To check out San Francisco with an eye toward finally moving there.

ABOUT ME

The two of us are considering moving to San Francisco and want to do some recon work before the final decision.

Trev: For money I teach small groups of people how to use Flash - I may be tangentially responsible for some of those banner ads (sorry). It's interesting and creative and I like it.

Liz is currently a slave to office life but is moving on a plan to give herself more time for wandering and adventure.

We both love exploring new places and meeting new people. Outside time is better than inside time and every day is the day you make it. It's impossible to have too many adventures.

PHILOSOPHY

One can't be grateful enough to have lucked into a life like this.

Life without laughing would be an awful waste of time.

The path most beaten is crowded and has a lame giftshop at the end.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None through this organization yet, but 4 of us stayed with a family we met in Valencia, Spain for a week during Las Fallas and it was just amazing (GO!!). People build styrofoam and cardboard and wood and plaster characters and scenes that are displayed for the week and then burned down on the last night. Little kids throwing firecrackers under cars and guys selling 64oz 50/50 rum and cokes out of shopping carts for $2 and rooftops and the craziest fireworks I've ever seen and outdoor concerts and a totally cool Spanish soap opera star... Ridiculous. And the family we stayed with was SUPER hospitable and generous. I want to be like them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Liz: In May of this year, I set out on my first solo journey. I was incredibly nervous but it turned out to be one of the most amazing things I have ever done. I went to Spain for two weeks, jumping from hostel to hostel and meeting a lot of incredible people and experiencing life from a completely different solo perspective. Two weeks was definitely a tease but it was 100% worth it. I salivate at the thought of my next solo adventure and welcome suggestions :)
