About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have fun.

ABOUT ME

I'm a comic, or comedian if you prefer, and an actor, writer, improviser...general performer, CLOWN!, witty guy looking to find a joke as quick as I can. I know every story deserves to be told and I love spinning my own as a comedy.

I'm also a sci-fi fan. I love Joss Whedon (especially Firefly and Cabin in the Woods), Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, and classic novels like 1984, Farenheit 451 as well as contemporary like Never Let Me Go. I'm a pretty avid reader, watcher, story-consumer.

I like rock'n'roll, especially the classics and indie but I'm open to most music suggestions.

I'm 21 years old and I just finished school. I'm also a HUGE Shakespeare buff.

PHILOSOPHY

"You're playing a game.
You can't win this game.
Don't worry.
You can't win either.
The point of the game is to play it.
Have fun."

Interests

Writing consumes most of my days, whether that be journaling or working on my one-man show "Talking in Vowels". I'm an comedian, what can I say? It's in my personal description because that's what I do with most of my time. I like conversation and banter and using it all.

I also really like architecture and nature, basically anything that's neat to look at. I'm all about it. Always open to new activities, but I'm not a fan of plummeting or shopping.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm currently on a big Rolling Stones kick and most blues or rock'n'roll is right up my alley. The classics you'd expect plus more modern additions like The White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes. Not that I'm a hard corps rocker or anything...Love sci-fi (hooray, nerds!) especially the work of Joss Whedon. The only book I brought with me was the Complete Works of William Shakespeare, but it's enough to occupy the time on trains to say the least.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently I took a Vision Quest. I took a trip the length of the beach from Campus Point in Isla Vista California up past Coal Oil point right up until about the Bacara. It as just me, a notebook, a bottle of water, a lacrosse ball, a clown nose, and my iPod. The landscape, the mindset, all of it was a sort of button on my growing up at UCSB.

Last February I was naked onstage. I was playing Harold in 'First Love' by Charles Mee and the script called for nudity so my scene partner stripped me onstage and I was there, with an audience, for about 3 minutes a night, 3 nights in a row. It's literally the most revealed I've ever been onstage. About a month after that I premiered the first 20 minutes of my stand-up and I've never felt such elation.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about starting comedy and personal writing, improvisation for comedy and personal/professional benefit, and if you'd like to hear about Shakespeare, HOO-BOY lemmetellya.
