Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Trinh, but many people call me Ginger 🫚. I’m a Vietnamese, currently living in Finland. Before this I spent 3 years in South Korea. I'm a researcher by training, curious about everything, always happy to chat over food or go for a walk. I travel to enrich my experience and to share it with others. I appreciate very much the adrenaline of adventures, the serendipity, and the warmth of being welcomed into someone’s world. I will treat everyone with kindness, understanding and respect, and I expect the same! But if there's misunderstanding, remember communication is key!
Looking forward to meeting you!😊
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Perhaps what makes a place special is the people and the memory when we are there. I love traveling and even more so with a good company, and if lucky, we can connect for life! I love Couchsurfing as it allows us to have not only a couch but an exchange, and create memories that last.
I cannot always travel freely, most of the time I get out for some purposes, work, study, or an escape. But the more chances I get out, the more I realize how small my world was! A good journey refreshes my mind, and reminds me that perhaps I was living in a bubble and the small little things I worry about everyday don’t matter as much to the universe as I think, so why not take it easy? I also grew a lot as a person after each trip as there's always something to learn from the people I've met.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: classics, history, travelogues, science fiction and more.
Music: I'm a fan of Alexander Rybak and violin sound. Love classicals and just good musics.
Movies: I love binge-watching sci-fi series like The Flash, Ragnarok, Back to the Future. I laugh hard with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Sound of Your Heart and cry when watching historical series.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Love, it gives me courage to do amazing things.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Vietnamese cooking and share food - I believe the stomach connects to brain and heart. I’m happy to share stories about living in Finland, Korea, and Vietnam. I can share things about tech and can teach you Vietnamese if you want.
I also want to learn from others: local cuisine, local culture, languages, or just the way you see the world. If you have a hobby or a passion, I'm a good listener and happy to try them.
I can share a good company, have meaningful conversations, and spread my culture😆 In the end, what I enjoy most is the exchange itself and just having a good time!
