COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Started couchsurfing in 1992, camping on the Transdimensional Futon of Ill Repute in a NYC apartment. Never looked back.

My favorite movies seem to exist in a special sub-sub-genre termed 'Daniel movies' by my friends, of which 'The Royal Tenenbaums' and 'Lost in Translation' are prime examples. I'm also a sucker for a Godzilla rampage or cheap-looking aliens from Mars.

I moved to Shanghai with my girlfriend in 2003, after quitting my job, selling all my books, letting my apartment and confiding my cat to my parents. I ended up spending 3 years in this amazing place, and it changed my life in all the ways that matters.
