About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet interesting people in their own homes and to offer a comfortable stay in Oxfordshire.
ABOUT ME
I ran a B&B for 10 years in my home which gave me the opportunity to meet and chat to lots of different people. IAlthough I am in my 60s I have plenty of energy (certainly more than most of my friends) and I like to try out new experiences. My husband and I love to travel around the Uk and France in our motorhome but I also travel further afield without him as he likes to stay home and work! I have not had any couch surfers to stay but would welcome them into my home. Two years ago I stayed with two couch surfers and met two others while in Perth, WA - kind generous people who were willing to give up time to meet me.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm fairly easy-going and open to new experiences and meeting a variety of people. I don't like people who are judgmental, racist or very right or left wing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Although I've been a member for a couple of years I had not used the service and had forgotten about it until a friend reminded me while in Perth, WA. Through CS I met several people for days out, stayed overnight twice with two lovely people and I'm looking forward to welcoming couch surfers to my home and to use the service much more.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Days out and overnight stays in Western Australia.
Interests
I like travelling, motor homing, I'm a keen gardener, a keen cook, I enjoy visiting parks, historic houses, art galleries and museums and am happy meeting people just for a coffee and a chat.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read masses of novels, both in English and French. Just finished an Ian McEwan and a Fred Vargas detective novel in French.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just how differently some people less lucky than myself live - for instance during my stay in Cameroon. These people who had nothing were nevertheless some of the most generous people I've met.
