ABOUT ME

Zach: Brews beer, builds bamboo bicycles, steals eggs from his 3 chickens & can cook up a mean meal.

Trista: Drinks Zachs beer, rides Zachs bicycles, eats Zachs yummy eggs & scarfs Zachs fine meals.

We are a Portlandia couple keeping busy with lots of outdoorsy things like cycling, surfing, snow sports & hiking. Easy going things like boardgames, picnics, happy hours & movies. Foodie things like being spoiled by the food cart mania here, Mexican & sushi eats & hitting up local farmers markets.

You get the idea!

We like to get out and DO stuff & try to surf the couches of those who are into the same. We just bought our first house which is livable but we have loads of projects going on all over the place. We also have a roomy with a small dog so you probably wouldn't want to even stay here at the moment unless you're pretty easy going and just need a place to crash.

Once all of the house projects slow down, Zach and I love playing tour guides in our lovely little city so we'll definitely be interested in hosting the right kind of people!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Tristas been using this site for a few years now to meet locals & to couch surf while traveling. Zachs just now getting into it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing saved Tristas social life when she moved from Portland, OR to the French Alpes for 18 months & then her latest move to Washington. Without it her life would of been one sad, sad misadventure without many of the awesome people shes met through this site .

As a couple, we'd love to host as soon as a we get our own house & have the room for it.

Zach spoils his ears with: LCDSound System, foo fighters, Micheal Jackson, Air. He rots his mind with: Apocalypse Now, Avatar, Star Trek, Forest Gump, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, As Good as it Gets & anything with Bill Murray in it. He puts himself to sleep with anything by Arthur C. Clark.

Tristas into anything that makes her head bang and avoids the stuff one might find playing in an elevator. Scary movies make her shriek(litereally) and emotional books make her cry. Stephen Colbert is her not-so-secret old man crush.
