Hey everybody, I'm Tristan.
I do my studies at university in Amsterdam, grew up in a suburb. My fields are mathematics and physics, but thinking about switching. Currently doing an exchange in Saint-Petersburg, trying to learn the language and to get to know the eastern European mentality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the moment I'd like to do couchsurfing, because I would like to visit some more places in Russia during my exchange period. I have heard positive stories from friends, I think it may be a nice way to get to know a place or the people.
Whenever I'll be back in Amsterdam and have an appartment again, I'd love to have guests over (as I'm quite excited to show the town to foreigners).

Interests

I like opera a lot (especially Russian), cinema (cannes), ballet, architecture and most other forms of art in general. I like to discuss history, politics, and above stuff. I can spend days with cooking (vegetarian) and baking as well.
I'm not the most sporty kind of guy, I enjoy it every now and again, but I don't have a lot of discipline. I like to make long walks though, and as a Dutch guy I also enjoy cycling and ice skating.
