About Me

ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm an easygoing, ultra friendly Kiwi travelling around Europe (like so many other Kiwis). I'm relaxed, polite, always up for an adventure, and forever keen on meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Find the thing you love to do, and then work out how to do it. Not always easy, but always worth it.

Interests

I used to be a journalist, and now I design video games: maybe a strange career change, but creatively there's nothing like it. I love hiking around mountains (invariably getting lost along the way), going for runs, reading a good book, drinking a good whisky, and hanging out with amazing friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music… Bruce Springsteen, U2, R.E.M., Bob Dylan, Gaslight Anthem, Muse, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Stereophonics, KT Tunstall, Rilo Kiley, David Bowie, and many many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Let's see... In terms of travelling, walking around the Alhambra in Spain and standing under waterfalls at Iguazu in Argentina have been awesome highlights, as have the people I've met along the way.

And a bit more cheesy, but I love it: so one of the video games we made stars a sassy princess called Scarlett. She's got a long green dress, goggles, and a crowbar. The game developed a passionate fanbase, and one day we received a photo from someone who had created a Scarlett costume from scratch, and it looked amazing. I just love the feeling that a character that popped out of my head was being enjoyed that much by strangers around the world. There's nothing quite like it — it's why I do what I do.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Nepal, Singapore, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
