HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have met some amazing people and gotten to see their town from the local's perspective. I've surfed while road-tripping, and it is my favorite way to travel! I'm looking forward to surfing more, and though I can't host anyone now, I'd love to meet up if you're in town!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was introduced to CS by some housemates, who frequently hosted. The surfers I met were always interesting and fun, and I loved showing them around town and hearing their stories. I'm looking forward to participating more directly in CS.

I love the outdoors -- hiking, horseback riding, and drinking in views. I am currently experimenting with a vegetable garden, which is providing a lot of amusement and stories if not produce. I'm woefully ignorant about movies -- I just haven't watched many! If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them...and watch them! I'm more into British TV productions: Inspector Lynley, Doc Martin, Ballykissangel, Foyle's War,...

I adore reading, and always have at least one current one. I usually read fiction, but occasionally jump out into an interesting biography or popular science book. Some of my favorite authors are Terry Pratchett, Elizabeth Peters, and Robin McKinley.

The first time I saw wild whales surfacing off shore , I watched them for hours. I was in awe of how simply BIG they are, yet graceful.
