About Me

I'm from the West Coast of the USA, lots of places, but I've been travelling for a long time. First for school then for teaching and all the time in between when I can scrape enough money to do so. Currently I live in Los Angeles but I love Latin America. I am thinking of moving down here and I'm currently on a mission to find the best location to set up a business... I've got a few ideas in mind.. maybe you can help me with some advice on your area. :) But for an American I'm very internationally minded and love history, culture, swimming, and going out for a drink... and of course, making new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have stayed on people's couches a few times, but usually I just send messages to people in their city and ask to meet up and tour the city together and get my own hotel. CS really is one of the best and truest ways to get to know a city and its culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I honestly do enjoy meeting new people and learning about their own personal story and the history of where they come from. Couch Surfing allows you to experience this in a very comfortable and positive way. The discussions I have had with other couchsurfers have been amazing and I love learning a new perspective on something and allowing it to influence my opinion.

Interests

I enjoy understanding what I am looking at and knowing its significance. Exotic foods are fun, although I would not call myself a food tourist. Nightlife has always been a joy of mine, although I'm more into bars than clubs. Basically, I am a social person who is interested in learning about foreign cultures and people through first hand experiences. I have been told I am an easy going person who likes good conversations... with a touch of being opinionated... just to make it interesting. :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies.. Sci Fi, Fantasy, Drama.... I would say I like all good movies :D

Music, everything except American country music or rap.

Authors, I'm all over the map on authors I like.. I'm reading George R.R.Martin right now if that helps. And I usually like to read a history book on a country or region I'm going to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uhm, the Olympics in China. I lived a ten minute bicycle ride away from the Beijing Olympics so I got to see a lot of events and completely experience the games. That was pretty awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

What can I teach? I can teach about my home country and some of its customs, it's a pretty big place and I've lived all over the west coast. I also know a really easy and fun card game.
Learn- I want to learn about your culture and you!
