- I love medieval history and material culture; point me in the direction of your castles, old city walls, museums..

- Martial arts, particularly in historical European context. I currently study medieval longsword (and related combat arts), based on the writings of Johannes Liechtenauer (14th C.) and his students.

Music, Movies, and Books

While living in Prague, I had been reading mainly Czech authors (e.g. Kundera, Čapek, Hašek, Hrabal), interspersed with some Tolkien.

I'm a fan of Classical music and heavy metal, but my collection is pretty varied. Unfortunately, my iPod broke a while ago..
