About Me

Waiting for vacation!!!

Will be in Berlin the next months, so you are welcome to request my couch for the summer. Surfers from Asia - especially from Japan are highly welcome ^ ͜• ^

Save water - bath with a friend!
CouchSurfing is not for free, it's only that - different to other projects - the host is the financing part. So while surfing I will try to be as economical as possible with water, electricity etc. and offer to return these costs.
I'm running a 100% "I break it - I fix it" policy. I try to be as careful as possible, but just in case - I won't leave my host alone with the damage.
I will try to be as swift as possible and leave as few traces as possible.
Will try to be as helpful as don't hesitate to ask me to fix something in your home or on your car...that's what engineers are for.

!!! If you accept to surf my couch and drop me without a notice or reason...letting me wait for will earn yourself a negative reference - because this behavior is common on CS, but unfair against hosts and other honest surfers who are looking for a place to stay!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Water and energy are precious on this globe and expensive in Berlin - so please be careful with water and electricity!!!

Always love to host friends and meet new interesting ppl...

Right now I'm more static in Berlin than traveling, so I'm more a hosting CouchSurfer. There have been a lot of guests requesting a couch the last months and sadly I couldn't accept all of them, even so I offered an emergency accommodation on a field bed. I'm always extremely exited hosting guest from far away, especially from Asia. So if you are intending to visit Berlin, I would be very pleased to receive your requests!

Since I became a member of CS in 2009 I hosted about 100 surfers. It was a great experience and with some of them I even became close friends. The only sad experience on CS is the moment when it's time to say "Good Bye!"

traveling, of old stuff and getting things in order...too much to mention everything here...

Music, Movies, and Books

Japanese Pop, especially Utada Hikaru, Yuna Ito, Kaori Mochida, Natsukawa Rimi etc...Korean Scary Movies...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

...this planet is so amazing...but recently I was amazed by the apple and cherry blossoms in my garden...

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm lecturing environmental engineering and mining. Also work as an advisor for human demining projects and an emergency relieve organization. One of my hobbies is being a gold smith and I got a small workshop in Berlin producing jewelery for friends and family. Also like to repair all kind of broken if you got trouble with your backpack or bike - welcome!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Depending on the season I can offer organic fruits, jam, juice and wine. Usually I also share my meals with my guests and cook traditional German and Asian food, but also fun to dine out and show nice and affordable local restaurants.

I'm not so much into hosting non sharing hardcore freeloaders who are staying for over a week, accepting free accomodation food, wifi, laundry service, bike....leaving me with not much more then a load of dirty laundry and telling me how smart they are traveling the world for free on others generosity while renting out their own place on hard cash. This makes me feel cheap and reluctant to host.
