I was born in California. Moved around a lot as a child. Spent time in Portland, Hawaii and Missouri. Went to college in Rochester New York, Portland Oregon and New Orleans, Louisiana. I teach mostly undergraduate students science stuff. I'm not as dumb as I look, as someone once said to me. I know live in New Orleans, I have been here since 1998 with only two years of that spent in Portland for graduate school.

I wanted to find connections in new places I want to visit. Hopefully I can get advice about travel or perhaps even a place to stay for a few days. I think this type of interaction allows you to get to know new people at a higher level than perhaps meeting at a bar or something like that.
